# Groups and family

> Prompts for sharing the plan, bringing people into a trip, deciding together and keeping family posted.

## Sharing the plan

Send the itinerary

Send my \[Goa] itinerary to \[Mum].

Mazer writes it from your trip (flights, hotels and a read-only itinerary link) as a WhatsApp, Telegram or email draft. Booking references are left out unless you ask.

Give me a share link for the \[Goa] trip.

Invite someone

Give me an invite link so \[Priya] can join the \[Goa] trip.

## Deciding together

When the group disagrees

Half of us want the beach on day \[2] and half want the old town. Make a split plan for that day.

In a Telegram group, /split does this for the whole group.

Plan for everyone

Plan day \[3] for a group of \[six] with \[two kids and a grandparent]: nothing over 20 minutes' walk.

A group poll (Telegram)

/newpoll

Send this in a Telegram group that's linked to the trip.

## Keeping family posted

Flight updates for family (Elite)

Keep \[Mum] posted on my flights.

Mazer sends Mum an invite. Once she accepts, she hears when your flights take off, run late or land. Never your location.

A quick check-in

Tell \[Mum] I've landed.

On Elite, Mazer sends it straight away to contacts who accepted trip updates. On other plans, it gives you the message to send.

A check-in later

Tell \[Mum] when I reach the hotel.

Mazer waits up to 12 hours for you to say you've arrived.
