# Memory and preferences

> What Mazer remembers about you, how to see and change it, and the settings that shape how Mazer helps.

## Your traveller passport

The profile you fill in at sign-up: passport country, home base, food rules, interests, spending style, pace, body clock and who you travel with. Mazer reads it on every channel.

* **Visa rules**: your passport country is used to check them without you asking.
* **Food rules and allergies** are treated as strict.
* **Skipped questions** count as unknown, not as a "no".

Change your answers any time at [tripmazer.com/welcome](https://tripmazer.com/welcome).

## What Mazer learns

> [!NOTE]
>
> Memory across trips is on **Mazer Pro** and **Elite**.

Mazer remembers facts you mention, past trips and your preferences, on every channel. Something you say on WhatsApp is known on the web.

* **Facts that change keep one dated value**, such as a loyalty number or your partner's name. Mazer updates it when you tell it, checks it against what you've entered in the app, and asks about old ones in check-ins.
* **Big changes are confirmed first**: your name, nationality, country of residence, partner or age.
* **Moving home** makes Mazer re-check your home airport and timezone.
* **Memories from finished trips are retired**, not deleted.

See, change and undo what Mazer remembers in **Settings → AI Memory**, which keeps a history.

## Standing reminders

Reminders can wait for a topic instead of a time:

Next time I mention \[Bali], remind me to check my visa.

Each one fires at most three times, no more than once a day, and expires after 90 days.

## AI Preferences

In **Settings → AI Preferences**:

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **How much Mazer does on its own** | **Minimal**: answers when asked. **Balanced**: helps build itineraries and suggests improvements. **Proactive**: flags delays, price drops and alternatives. **Autopilot**: drafts whole itineraries and applies plan changes on its own |
| **Response detail** | Short, Standard or Detailed |
| **Explain my picks** | Mazer says why it recommends something |
| **Voice** | One of eleven voices with real accents. See [Mazer Live](https://docs.tripmazer.com/install/mazer-live.md#choose-a-voice) |
| **Write in this voice too** | Written replies carry the voice's rhythm and warmth. Amounts, dates and references always stay plain |
| **Quiet hours** | When spoken briefings stay quiet |

## Travel Preferences and loyalty

**Settings → Travel Preferences** holds your day-to-day travel choices. Loyalty programmes and saved cards (for lounge access) have their own sections in Settings.
