# Itineraries

> How Mazer builds the day-by-day plan, the Day check that catches problems, and how to change any day.

Every trip has an itinerary on its **Plan** screen: one card per day, each stop with its time, price and that day's opening hours, and the walk or ride between stops.

## Getting a plan

There are two ways in:

* **Plan in chat, then save.** Work the plan out with Mazer, then say **"save it"**. The day-by-day plan from the chat goes into the trip's itinerary once, as named stops, as long as it fits the trip's dates. It never overwrites days you've already planned.
* **Let Mazer plan it all.** On a saved trip, say **"plan the whole trip"**. Mazer searches flights, stays and things to do, then fills the days.

## The Day check

Each day has a **Day check** that looks for problems before you hit them:

* clashes and tight connections
* places that are closed when you'd arrive
* long routes and overfull days
* missing meals and no free time

Most problems come with a one-tap fix, and every fix can be undone.

![The Day check for a day in Kyoto: a balanced day with one thing to fix (no time to get from Fushimi Inari to Kiyomizu-dera), no lunch planned, and a free stretch at midday](https://docs.tripmazer.com/images/app/daycheck.webp)

A Day check in Kyoto. The fix moves Kiyomizu-dera to 10:45. Sample data.

## Pace that follows your energy

Mazer sets each day's pace from your trip's pace, then lightens it for:

* your arrival day
* the day after a long flight, or a time difference of 5 hours or more
* the day after heavy days (a trek counts double, a café barely counts)
* a hot forecast
* you saying you're low today

On the trip, say **"I'm tired"** or **"my feet hurt"** and Mazer offers to lighten the rest of today. Heavier stops move to the lightest later day or are skipped. Meals, bookings and rest stay put, and nothing changes until you tap to apply it (**Lighten my day** on WhatsApp and Telegram).

> Mazer doesn't read wearables or health apps. Pace comes from your trip and what you tell it.

## Changing a day

You can change any day yourself on the **Plan** screen, or ask Mazer:

Move and add

Add \[Tanah Lot] to day \[3] for sunset, and move the \[cooking class] to day \[4].

Try in Mazer →

Fill free time

I have a free afternoon on day \[2]. What fits nearby?

Try in Mazer →

Mazer's changes arrive as a card showing what will change. Tap to apply it, or choose **Autopilot** in **Settings → AI Preferences** to have them apply on their own.

**Add Places** on a day ranks places that fit that day's free time and are nearby.

## Booking links on stops

When Mazer adds an activity, it attaches a checked booking link from partners such as Viator, Tiqets or Headout where one exists, so you can book the tickets from the stop.

## Sharing and exporting

* **Share a read-only link**: ask "give me a share link for this trip". People can view it without an account.
* **Calendar**: ask for a calendar (`.ics`) file, or connect [Google Calendar](https://docs.tripmazer.com/features/connected-apps.md) and ask Mazer to add the trip.
* **Files**: ask for the itinerary as a PDF or Word document.
